Short answer
If you can only whitelist 3 subreddits, your account is most likely on the New tier.
The New tier includes 3 active subreddit slots. Those slots decide which account-level subreddits can stay active at the same time.
Why the first limit is 3
Subreddit slots are limited because each active subreddit adds operational cost, delivery risk, and monitoring complexity.
A small starting limit keeps new accounts focused on the subreddits that matter most instead of rotating through many communities too quickly.
| Tier | 60-day deposits | Included subreddit slots |
|---|---|---|
| New | $0 | 3 |
| Bronze | $100 to $499 | 5 |
| Silver | $500 to $1,499 | 8 |
| Gold | $1,500 to $2,999 | 12 |
| Platinum | $3,000 to $4,999 | 16 |
| Diamond | $5,000+ | 20 |
Whitelist mode is different from subreddit slots
This is the most common point of confusion. Auto Voter whitelist mode controls where automatic orders can trigger for a profile.
Account-level subreddit slots control which subreddits can stay active under your account capacity. If your account has 3 included slots, only 3 included subreddits can stay active at the same time.
How to choose the 3 subreddits
Use the Subreddit Priority List to protect your most important communities first. Priority 1 is safest because it stays active before lower-priority included slots if capacity changes.
Put client, launch, revenue, or evergreen campaign subreddits above experiments. Keep weak test subreddits out of your active slots until you know they are worth the capacity.
- Pick subreddits with active buyers, readers, or search visibility.
- Keep campaign subreddits above experiments.
- Remove a subreddit only when you are sure, because cooldowns can keep the slot occupied for a period after deletion.
- Review the list before a tier drop or a larger campaign.
How to add more capacity
Your included slot count can increase when your rolling 60-day deposit total moves into a higher tier.
You can also use paid extra subreddit slots for short-term campaigns. Paid slots are separate 30-day subreddit slots and do not replace your included priority list.
- Bronze starts at $100 in rolling 60-day deposits and includes 5 subreddit slots.
- Each paid extra subreddit slot costs $100 for one 30-day term.
- Paid slots are useful for launches, seasonal pushes, or one client campaign that should not displace your main subreddits.
