What Target Rank and Max Time Holding mean

Use rank targeting carefully when you want the order to support a position window, not only a vote count.

Use this when

  • You see Target Rank in Manual Order and want to know when to use it.
  • You want a post or comment to stay inside a rough rank range for a limited time.

Steps

  1. Set Target Rank only after checking the current subreddit or thread ranking.
  2. Use the default 1-15 style range when you want broad visibility instead of one exact position.
  3. Use Max Time Holding to limit how long the system should try to hold the target.
  4. Check Order History and the live Reddit page to evaluate the result.

Tips that improve results

  • Start with conservative vote counts when you use rank targeting.
  • Rank can change because organic votes, downvotes, new posts, and Reddit sorting all affect placement.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Do not use this on a thread that is already moving too quickly for your budget.
